Striker Path v2.0.1 — everything we fixed in launch week
Launch week is over, and this is what a week of your bug reports turned into. Version 2.0.1 collects everything we have fixed and added since the 2.0.0 launch — from a full statement of where your club's gold goes, to a shop that lets you buy gear again past level 18, to a pile of phone layout fixes. Here is the complete list.
💰 Where your club's gold goes
- A full treasury statement. Club gold could drop from tens of thousands to almost nothing with no way to see why. Open the statement from the Treasury card on your club page and you get every movement, newest first: teammate deposits, scout signings, facility upgrades, scout-market refreshes, tournament entry fees and refunds, and injury treatments — each with the amount, who did it, when, and the balance left afterwards. Web and phone. It records from this update onwards, so spending from before it is not listed.
- A warning before an expensive signing. Signing a prospect that costs 10,000 gold or more now tells you up front, before you confirm, that the gold comes out of the shared club treasury.
🛒 Shop and inventory
- Buying gear works again past level 18. Players at level 18 and up got a "couldn't buy, try again" error on every purchase: the shelf was built from your level and position while the purchase check used your level alone, so the two lists drifted apart and the exact item on display was rejected. Both use the same list now.
- Browse your inventory without leaving the shop. A new Inventory tab sits next to Daily Store, Equipped and Boosters, with the same rarity and slot filters, favourites, and equip or sell on every item. It is the very same inventory you reach from the More menu, just docked inside the shop, so the two can never disagree.
- The item counter opens your inventory. The shop showed "Inventory: 7/30" with no way to reach those items from there. The count is now a button that takes you straight to them.
- Clearer names for your gear. The tab that shows what you are wearing is now called Equipped, and the counter reads Inventory — the same name as the screen it opens. Unequipping never lost an item, but the old wording made it look that way. The counter also uses your real stash size instead of a hard-coded 30.
- Item cards show the full stat bonuses. An epic shirt that read "+2 Passing, +2 Finishing" in your inventory but revealed five bonuses the moment you equipped it now shows the complete, identical set everywhere — inventory, equipped loadout, compare view and shop shelf — including the Attack and Defence totals the shop was leaving out.
⚽ Lineup and tactics
- Saving your tactics works again. On web, changing anything on the Tactics screen came back with a "could not update team settings" error, so formations, tactical styles, plan sliders and auto-switch rules could not be saved at all. Fixed. Phones were sending the right thing and were never affected.
- Lineups are drawn in their real shape. Every line used to be spread evenly from touchline to touchline, so a two-forward formation like 5-3-2 pushed both strikers onto the wings. All twelve formations now use proper hand-placed positions — forwards through the middle, a full-width back line, midfield spaced sensibly — shared by the web pitch, the phone pitch and the drag-and-drop editor, so they always match.
- Your real characters on the web lineup pitch. Teammates on the pitch and on the bench were still drawn with retired sprite avatars, so a player looked nothing like the character they created. They now use the real avatar, with the default look for anyone who has not made theirs yet. On phones the advanced pitch still shows initials for now.
🎽 Your club's identity
- Pick your club's kit colours. Owners and captains get a kit editor next to the crest: choose a ready-made kit or set the primary and secondary colours yourself, with a live shirt preview. Your saved colours dress your player's shirt around the game. Web and phone — the web editor also has a free colour picker.
- The crest editor previews live and saves in any colour. The editor offered a custom colour picker, but the server only accepted colours from an old fixed list, so the preview stayed blank and every save failed. Colours are free-form now, while shape, pattern and icon are still checked. The phone editor still offers the preset palette.
- Club settings are easier to find. On web the settings button now carries a visible Settings label instead of an unlabelled gear icon nobody recognised.
- Every pop-up in the game uses the paper-and-ink look — cream paper, ink borders and a hard shadow — instead of the plain white box that clashed with everything around it. Web and phone.
- Club roles read in your language. President, Captain and the rest, instead of the internal English code.
🏋️ Training
- Claiming a session that already finished no longer throws an error. If you left the training screen and came back after the timer hit zero, the game had already collected that reward for you in the background — but the Claim button was still there, and tapping it showed a red error even though the gold and XP were already banked. Now a short, neutral note tells you the reward was already collected and you drop back to your training list, ready for the next session. Same for recovery sessions. Web and phone.
📱 Phones and iOS
- The iOS sign-in screen no longer crashes. Every logged-out player on the iOS app hit a full-screen crash the moment the sign-in screen tried to draw, so nobody could sign in at all. Fixed.
- Home actions, treasury buttons and the More menu fit on phone screens. With a training session running, the Home quick actions squeezed the session card and both buttons into a single row and the labels spilled outside them; the session card now takes a full row with the two buttons underneath. The Statement button no longer overflows the Treasury card, and the More menu scrolls, so the last quick links are reachable again.
- The MISSIONS button on Home opens Missions, not the shop.
✉️ Email and account
- Far fewer emails. Every reward and every achievement sent an email on top of the in-app notification you already get — enough of them to nearly exhaust the daily send limit, which would have started blocking the emails that really matter, like sign-up verification and password resets. Reward and achievement emails are now off, including for players who had switched them on, and every one of those moments still lands in your in-app inbox and as a push notification. You can turn them back on in Settings; security emails always send.
- Emails come from "Striker Path". They were arriving from "noreply" because the sender address had no name attached.
- Deleting your account works. Anyone who had ever created a team training session got "we could not delete your account" every single time. Those sessions are now removed cleanly along with the rest of your data.
- The "Play Free" button at the end of blog posts shows in the language you are reading the article in, instead of always Spanish.
Most of this list came straight from your reports in the first week. Keep them coming — see you on the pitch. ⚽
