Striker Path v2.0.10 — the front door opens straight into the game
Most of this release is about the first five minutes.
⚽ Play Free actually plays
The button on the front page opened a registration form: email, password twice, date of birth, two checkboxes. The one-tap way in was over on the sign-IN page — the page for people who already have an account. The fastest route was hidden from exactly the people it was built for.
It now creates your player on the spot and drops you into the game. Creating a proper account is still there, one line below, for anyone who wants one from the start.
💾 Your career can stay yours
If you started as a guest, Settings can now turn that into a real account: add an email and a password and you keep the same player, the same club and the same progress. Nothing is reset and nothing is transferred — the account you are already in simply gains a way to log back into it.
This existed once and disappeared in a redesign back in May. Nobody has been able to convert since, and a guest account that never converts stops working after thirty days with no way back. If you are playing as a guest, this is worth two minutes of your time.
🤝 The friendly button tells you why
Eight opponents, eight dead CHALLENGE buttons, no explanation. There are two reasons it can be greyed out and neither is guessable: your club's two daily friendlies may already have been spent by somebody else in the squad, or you may not be a president, coach or captain — a friendly spends the whole squad's energy, so it is a squad decision rather than an individual one.
The game now tells you which one it is.
✉️ We ask before we email you
The optional emails — a weekly recap, and a nudge if you stop playing — have always been off by default, and nothing ever told you they existed. Switching them on for everybody was not our call to make, so the game asks once, on the home screen, and takes either answer as final. Nothing per match: you already get those inside the game.
👋 Rivals is gone
The rivals screen, the follow button and the rivals feed have been removed. The "Scout Rivals" achievement was part of the Social collection, so it has been replaced with club donations rather than leaving anyone holding a collection they could never finish. The private scouting notes people wrote are kept.
🛠️ Also
- A brand-new player no longer arrives to a changelog about balance changes to a game they have been playing for ten minutes.
- The daily reward stops announcing "+0 gems" on the days that award none.
- The first question of signup asks your name instead of stating the character limit.
