⚖️ Bots that fit the league they are in
- Filler clubs are measured against your group. A group short of players is topped up with filler clubs, and their strength had nothing to do with who they were about to face — in the league, every one of them was created identical and stayed that way. The same filler was an unbeatable wall for a club just starting out and a set of free points for a club that had been training for weeks. Cups had the opposite fault and produced sides nobody could beat. They now land at a fixed fraction of the real squads they are put in with, which means promotion goes to the club that outgrew its group, not to the club that drew the softest one.
- A stand-in is never better than the player it stands in for. A bot filling a hole in the XI was anchored to your club's own players, but a floor tied to the club's level overrode that from level one — so your free stand-ins outclassed your people. Recruiting is supposed to be the upgrade.
🔭 Scouting is worth upgrading again
The numbers behind a prospect are written straight onto their stats, but they had been written on the scale you see in other football games, where 30 is poor. Here 20 is someone who just joined and 45 is someone trained for weeks. So the worst prospect a level-1 network could offer already beat everyone at the club — and almost every club is level 1, which left the facility nothing to sell.
- Prospects now start where your own newcomers are, and the level buys the top of the range instead of the bottom. A common signing fills a gap; a lucky one is a real piece; a fully upgraded network offers players better than a well-trained squad.
- Signing fees are unchanged. They are worked out from the prospect's rating, so a rating that dropped would have quietly cut every fee to about a third. Only the very top of the market got dearer, because it is now genuinely the best a club can sign.
- The scouting card promised prospects "up to 88 OVR" while the market beside it showed ratings in the hundreds. It was quoting an internal number that was never a rating. It now quotes the rating you actually see.
Trained players still climb past anything the market can offer in the long run. That has not changed, and it is why the ceiling can afford to be generous.

- A stranger's face no longer stands in for yours while it loads. Opening the game cold could show a complete player who was not you, wearing your kit, before it switched to your own. Waiting now looks like waiting.
- Another club's league history and recent form come back. Both were reading a table that has been empty since the league system changed.
