Striker Path v2.1.0 โ your club finally looks like yours
This is the biggest release since 2.0, and almost all of it is about one thing: making your club look like a club somebody actually runs.
๐ก๏ธ A crest worth wearing
The badge builder had 200 possible crests. It now has 3,509: eleven shapes, eleven patterns and twenty-nine emblems, every one of them previewed as the real crest in your own colours instead of a name you had to guess at. There is a Letters emblem too, for clubs that would rather wear their initials โ that one came straight out of the suggestions channel.
Every shape and every pattern is free. Some of them used to be locked behind a tier nothing in the game could sell you, which meant padlocks on silhouettes nobody could ever open. Those are gone.
๐ฝ Nineteen shirt designs, and long sleeves
Your kit was two colours and nothing else. It now comes in the designs football actually has names for: stripes, hoops, halves, quarters, a sash, a chevron, contrast sleeves, pinstripes, argyle, diagonals, a shoulder flash, a hem band, a fade โ and every one of them can be worn with short or long sleeves.
Ten of them are free, and they are the ones clubs are famous for. You can wear Barcelona's stripes, Celtic's hoops, Blackburn's halves, West Brom's quarters or River's sash without paying anything.
And your crest is now printed on the chest, where a badge belongs.
๐ 360 pieces of gear, drawn one by one
Boots, gloves, shirts, shorts, socks and training gear โ 360 items, each with its own name, its own joke and its own drawing. Gear used to move a player's rating by half a percent, which is another way of saying it did nothing. It is now worth about a quarter of a player.
โก Rewards that pay when you earn them
Achievements used to hand you a reward you then had to go and claim. They now pay on the first tap, the way missions always have. The daily streak no longer stops at seven days either โ and the calendar tells you what a long streak is actually worth instead of showing you the first week's numbers forever.
๐ผ๏ธ The game's own artwork
The interface was built on emoji, which meant the game was quietly wearing Apple's and Google's artwork on every screen. It now uses its own icon set, drawn for it. Forty-odd screens changed and you should notice nothing except that it looks like one game.
๐ More than one way in
You can now link more than one sign-in method to the same account, and set a password even if you started with Google, Discord or Apple. Losing access to one of them no longer means losing your club.
๐ ๏ธ You reported, we fixed
- Automatic team training runs at the hour you chose. It was reading your club's time as UTC, so a session set for 18:00 in Madrid fired at 20:00. It also never told anyone it had happened. Both fixed.
- Boosters can be used. On the web there was no way to activate one at all โ you could buy it and then only look at it.
- Cups are readable in dark mode. The paper texture those cards are printed on was landing on the letters.
- A player who joins stops showing under Invites sent. Joining any way other than tapping the invitation left it open forever.
- Notifications stop arriving twice, one with the reward and one without.
- Training shows what your Training Ground adds, and says when your club has you booked for a team session instead of offering a button that could only fail.
- The inbox bell lights up on the web. Signed-out visitors no longer catch a glimpse of somebody else's game. Change password goes to the change password page.
