Striker Path v2.1.6 — the notifications that never arrived
The headline is a thing that was not working and nobody could see: notifications.
🔔 The notifications that never arrived
Players kept reporting that nothing ever reached them — no word when a training session finished, none when a match had been played. The queue was not broken. Notifications were switched off at the server, and had been since March. Eighty-four thousand of them were prepared and discarded before ever looking for a device to send to.
They are on. And two of the four things people asked to hear about had no sender at all, so they are written now:
- Your training finished — for a session that ends while you are away.
- Your club's session finished, and how many team-mates turned up. That number matters: chemistry is earned per team-mate, so training alone pays the stats and none of the bond. Now it says so instead of leaving you to wonder whether the energy was wasted.
- Your league match was played, with the score from your own point of view.
- Your promotion match, to both clubs — the one held down is told too.
If you play in a browser, notifications now work there as well. That was not a setting anyone forgot; there was no way to deliver one at all, and it had to be built. Turn it on in Settings. If your browser blocks them, the screen tells you which setting to change instead of leaving a switch that silently does nothing.
🛒 The shop stocks gear from every level you have unlocked
At level 35 the shop was mostly Rare and Epic, mostly unaffordable. Not bad luck: an item stopped being offered fourteen levels after it unlocked, so everything cheaper had been deleted from your catalogue outright.
Nothing ages out now. How far behind a piece is decides how OFTEN it appears, not whether it appears — four slots in five are still current gear, so your shelf does not fill with things you outgrew.
And the odds panel adds up to 100% at last. It used to print each rarity's separate chance, which is why it said "Common 100%, Uncommon 90%" and why everyone who read it asked the same question.
🏋️ The Training Ground shows what it pays
"With the +3 upgrade, shouldn't I get +3 on every type of training?" No — it is a percentage, so it is worth more the longer you train, and on a short session it can round away to nothing. That is a hard thing to say in a sentence, so the card shows a table instead: base, what the ground adds, total, one row per session length. And where the next level changes nothing, it names the level that does.
⚽ A win that read as a goalless draw
A club saw 0-0 in its recent form and a victory when it opened the match. The score really had been overwritten: when a real team takes an empty slot in a group it reuses the placeholder's row, and the fixtures were being wiped so the newcomer would not inherit them — which also erased the result for the opponent, who had turned up and won. Nothing is wiped now, and the results already destroyed have been restored from the match records.
🧾 The rest
- A squad player who did not play can open their club's results and reveal them. The link only existed if you were in the XI, so a substitute had no way to find out how their own club had done.
- Ranking by OVR shows OVR. The toggle reordered the rows and printed Power beside them, which read as a broken sort.
- Your club shows its level and the XP still to go, on the club screen rather than only on a public profile.
- Turning on automatic team training tells you when the first session will be, instead of appearing to do nothing.
- The roster on a club's public profile reads top-down: president, captain, vice captain, veteran, player.
- When you cannot start a training session, the screen says why. A club session takes its energy the moment you join, so you can be left short for one of your own with nothing explaining it.
- The FAQ said sessions run 25 minutes to 10 hours. They run 30 minutes to 8 hours.
