Striker Path v2.2.3 — one play that is yours
⚽ One play that is yours
Turbo asked for a way to steer a player with more than numbers. This is it.
There are eleven signature moves, and you do not pick one off a menu. The game counts the moves you actually perform in matches — a one-two, a switch of play, a header attacked, a save — and a move becomes available once you have done it enough times and your stats support it. You wear one at a time.
Wearing one makes that move happen about a third more often, and your other moves noticeably less. It is a trade, not a free bonus: being known for one thing means doing the others slightly less. Keep using it and it becomes mastered, which is worth more again.
Every position has its own. A goalkeeper earns Safe hands or Commands the box in the duels he actually contests; a centre-back has the aerial wall and close marking; midfielders and forwards keep the six passing and dribbling moves. What each one costs to unlock was measured over four hundred simulated matches rather than guessed, so no move takes ten times longer to earn than the one beside it.
It lives on its own page, linked from Training, and your move shows on your profile and on everybody else's — seeing what a rival has trained is half of what makes it interesting.
🔍 The scores you have already watched stay visible
Jasiek reported that every friendly in his recent activity read "?-?" for ever, even the ones he had opened and watched to the end. He was told it was the spoiler gate doing its job. It was not.
The feed stripped the score off every match it listed and never asked whether you had already revealed that particular one. Recent activity now asks, and shows the score on the matches you have seen. A match you have not opened stays sealed exactly as before.
📊 The OVR table ranks you against the same players as power
Also Jasiek, and it was two complaints with one cause. Filtering the global table by country showed seven players from Uruguay sorted by power and nobody at all sorted by OVR, and his own rank read 40th in the table and 50th on the bar underneath it.
The OVR table was quietly being built as if it were the season table: it only listed players who had played a match this week, while the power table listed everyone. Power and OVR are two numbers off the same stat sheet, so they now come from the same place and only the ordering differs. The bar under the table also reads your rank off your own row, so the two can no longer disagree.
⚡ Under the hood
- Matches settle faster. Resolving a friendly used to write more than fifty separate things to the database one after another; it is now a handful. Nothing about the result, the rewards or the history changes — it just takes less time.
- Three places could lose gold. They worked out your new balance and wrote it back, so anything that paid you in the same moment was overwritten. The database does the arithmetic now, and one of the three was the shop refresh, which is paid in gems.
🧭 Somebody to tell you what to do first
A new player landed on a home screen full of numbers nobody had explained and a row of buttons with no words on them. The game never said what to do first, so a lot of people did nothing and left.
Coach Bim now walks you through your first session — train, collect what it paid, put out a lineup, watch a match, join a club. One step at a time, one sentence each, with the button that takes you there. It reads what you have actually done rather than counting tutorial pages, so if you worked it out alone it is already finished and never appears.
It is a card on your home screen, not a takeover. It never covers the game, never steals a tap, and hiding it costs you nothing — the rewards belong to training and to matches, not to the card.
Once those five are behind you, three more appear for your first week: equip what you own, win one, and build chemistry with real people.
❓ An answer next to every number
OVR, PWR, chemistry, form and energy sit on your screen forever and nothing beside them said what they were. Somebody joining in month four got no coach at all.
There is now a "?" beside them. Point at it with a mouse and the answer opens; move away and it closes. On a phone, a tap opens it and a second tap puts it away. The answers are the FAQ entries that already existed in five languages — nothing new was written, it was moved to where the question actually happens.
🔤 Buttons that say what they are
The bar at the top and the dock at the bottom were rows of unlabelled circles. Every one of them now carries its name, in your language, from a single list both the website and the app read — so a button cannot be called one thing in the browser and another on your phone.
Empty screens changed too. A screen with nothing on it used to be blank; now each one says what goes there and how to get some.
🔢 The count is on the button
Two things went missed every single day: rewards sitting in finished missions, and a friendly allowance that resets at midnight whether or not you spent it. Both live behind a button you have to go and press.
The button now says what is behind it — the way an unread badge belongs on an inbox rather than beside it. Missions only lights up when there is something to collect, never for missions merely in progress.
🏟️ The club gets paid for team training
Jasiek checked the previous fix against his own club and found it half done: "we are doing 3 full scrimmages today, already did 2, and club treasury went only by 9 gold, so it only counted 1 person in 1 training."
He was right, and nine gold was the exact fingerprint. Team training had been taught to pay the club, but only where a member opens the game and taps Claim by hand. Most never do — a worker claims for them when the session ends, and that worker paid the player and gave the club nothing.
Every scrimmage now pays the club for everyone who took part.
📣 Your club tells you it is training
A team session was announced once, at the moment it was scheduled. If you were asleep or at work you never heard about it again, and the session ran without you.
It now says so again on your home screen, with the Join button on it — not a link to a screen that has the button. It disappears the moment you join.
✍️ The accents came back
In Spanish, German and French the game had been printing TITULO, CAMPEON, ULTIMO and ENTRAINEMENT — with a flat bar where the mark belongs, or nothing at all. English never showed it, which is why it lasted so long.
The display font carries a generous line of its own and its accented capitals need every bit of it. The app was overriding it with a shorter one in 163 places, and a shorter line does not tighten a letter — it cuts the top off it. Fixed everywhere.
👕 Kits, sound, and buying from outside the eurozone
- Kit previews are drawn differently. The old method leaned on a browser feature that failed on at least one player's phone and showed the shirt wrong. It no longer uses it.
- Safari can hear the game. The sound file shipped in a format Safari cannot read, so the whole game was silent there. It now ships one Safari can play, and a failed sound can no longer take the rest down with it.
- Club Premium can be bought outside the eurozone again. Players in Sweden and Poland were told the shop was unreachable.
- The referee stopped whistling over himself in the match feed.
- Squad-filling players are called by a name instead of a serial number — "NPC #573 wins it back" no longer turns up in the middle of a match report.
